Mindset Privacy Policy

This statement sets out the policy of The Mindset Group, LLC (“TMG”) relating to the collection and use of your personal information within the Mindset Program.  This notice is in addition to the Terms of Use, provided separately.  Your registration as a Mindset user constitutes your agreement to terms of the Privacy Notice and the Terms of Use. Please note that this Privacy Notice applies only to the Mindset site and not to any other sites that are linked to the Mindset site or mentioned on the site.

Your personal information is very important to us. TMG recognizes that your privacy is very important to you and we place significant importance on the protection of the integrity of your personal information.  When you register with Mindset you will be asked to create a username.  We suggest that you use a pseudonym or a made-up username.

Why does Mindset collect personal information from you?

When you enter the Mindset Program you will be asked to complete a number of questionnaires and enter some detailed background information, which you may consider to be sensitive, about yourself.  The program requests this information in order to provide you with tailored, and personally relevant information about anxiety, depression, anger, and any other personal struggles you are experiencing.  The information you enter will be stored in the Mindset database, along with information about the date and time that you complete various segments of the program, so that we can monitor and guide your progress.  Information is also collected in summary form about the most frequently visited pages.  This is intended to help the Mindset developers understand how individual visitors use and respond to the program, and how effective it is for individuals presenting with different types and severity of symptoms.  All of this gathered information is stored on secure servers and is subject to ethically and legally stringent security measures.

TMG will not use or disclose any information about you without your consent; we will never use your personal information to send you unsolicited information or “spam”; and we will never give any of your personal information, your username or your browser details to any advertisers or third parties without your permission.

Mindset’s Use of Cookies

The Mindset Program uses “transient” or “session” cookies.  Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to your computer’s hard disk when you open the Mindset web pages.  Cookies by themselves do not identify you or any user but they do identify your browser.  Because Mindset uses ‘transient’ cookies, your computer does not retain the information delivered in the cookie once you leave the Mindset site.  When you close your browser the transient cookie set up by Mindset is destroyed, and no personal information is retained which could identify you or your browser next time you log on to Mindset.

Most web browsers are set up to accept cookies, and while you can set your browser to not accept cookies you will be able to utilize full Mindset functionality if you do so.  If you have any further queries relating to this Privacy Notice, please contact us at mindset@bellsouth.net.
